SUMMER 2008, 6th Series, Vol 1, No 2
PETER CARSTENS OF JOHANNESBURG
PRELIMINARY LIST OF DE LUXE EDITIONS
The presentation or sponsors’ copies are usually in full leather with solander boxes, and the collectors’ copies are in half-leather with matching slipcases. In rare cases the client did not want a slipcase. In a few instances the binding is quarter or three-quarter-leather, or in cloth.
The number of de luxe copies given in the books and that eventually bound sometimes differ, as the editions may have been under or over-subscribed. There were even occasions when the de luxe edition never materialized at all! Where the number of copies is not given, or where it differs from Carstens’s estimate I have given the latter, preceded by ca.
The descriptions are in the ISBD format. In many cases I have viewed only the standard edition, in some cases none at all, basing my description on catalogues such as OCLC’s WorldCat.

Most computers already have this program installed, but you may obtain it from here if necessary:
IndexesThere are separate indexes for each series; we have provided each index in a separate file, and have also provided a combined file which contains all four indexes - note that this is not a composite index, but four separate indexes in one file. Note also that this combined file will take about 4 minutes to download over a 56K modem connection.
The files are in Adobe Electronic Paper format (they contain a scanned image and an OCR text version).
